#RelationshipGoals
As you may know, our agency is positioned as delivering “Marketing that elevates relationships.”
Many have reached out and told us they like this idea: that we are redefining AOR to mean agency of relationships instead of agency of record—a term that conjures up big contracts and fees to access creative and strategic talent.
Values key to building relationships
As we have for 20 years, we continue to serve our clients as a project-based team focused on health and finance brands that have the unique challenge of building lasting relationships, often with regulatory limitations.
Of course, we have defined processes that get us from “business challenge” to “creative solution” with each client and project—but so does every other agency.
So what makes Lunne stand out? We are uniquely committed to LIVING our values in serving our clients AND delivering solutions that are on brand, both visually and in messaging. Our goal is to create work that is an expression of our client’s unique brand and also aligns with what their customers and prospects desire.
By the way, our values are Keeping It Real, Driving Creativity, Helping Others, Thinking it Through, and Getting Results.
Certainly, creating and building relationships takes time and requires that every marketing touchpoint does its job. That’s our goal with each project: elevating relationships a little at a time.
Marketing is relating
Of course, product or service quality and consumer experience are critical, but marketing is a fundamental element to creating and sustaining long-lasting relationships. From awareness to brand advocacy, smart marketing can turn a prospect into a long-term customer.
Here’s a quick checklist of key relationship-building marketing attributes:
Create personalized experiencesCustomers feel more connected to a brand when the brand understands their needs and preferences.
Deliver valueProviding value to customers can include discounts, freebies, coupons, and personalized offers.
Build emotional connectionsEmotional connections are the bonds that customers form with brands based on shared values, experiences, and emotions.
Exceed expectationsMeeting and exceeding customer expectations can help a brand show it prioritizes clients’ opinions.
Focus on customer needsFocusing on the needs of your customers is a key to any relationship.
Be authenticBeing genuine and informative with your content and message is a best practice.
Remain availableEase of access (whether online or in person) helps to create a more solid connection to customers and often includes multiple channels to enable connection—such as text, call, email, or in store.
Solid relationships offer real benefits
There are tangible benefits to creating and elevating relationships that can have a direct impact on your top and bottom lines, including:
- Greater brand awareness and equity
- Strengthened loyalty and retention
- More cross- and up-selling opportunities
- More referrals from satisfied customers
In closing, an article in Forbes sums it up best: “Investing time and resources into building strong and lasting relationships to acquire and maintain clients and customers should always be part of your business strategy. … Lasting business relationships don’t just happen; they come with dedicated effort. Ultimately, people want to work with and buy from people that they like and trust. There are a lot of factors that could be considered, but investing in people and relationships is the biggest one.”
