International Women’s Day: Women leaders who Give to Gain

At our agency, leadership means supporting and elevating one another every day. This International Women’s Day, we asked the women leaders in our agency to consider: How do the women around you “give to gain?” How does their "gives" quality create a ripple effect in the world? How do they invest in others by sharing knowledge, creating opportunities, offering honest feedback, or supporting bold ideas to benefit both individuals and our agency as a whole?

Within minutes, we received stories of generosity, mentorship, and inspiration. Leaders who create opportunities for others, peers who encourage each other to think bigger and lead with courage, and women who recognize that shared growth benefits everyone.

In the spirit of International Women’s Day, we are proud to highlight these voices. We aim not only to celebrate them, but also to show what is possible when leadership is rooted in community. When women support one another, everyone gains.

Let's see what our women leaders have to say about each other:

Allison gives Voice: Allison's #GiveToGain is by creating a space that encourages voices. Sometimes it can be tempting to hear your own voice as the right one, but she advocates for the giving and receiving of what individuals have to offer without judgment. Especially in today's environment, where there are so many divisive topics and opinions, Allison sets a wonderful example of generating, granting, and including voices from all sides of the table.

Andrea gives Enthusiasm: Andrea is open and optimistic, approaching things with curiosity and a willingness to explore. Not only does this create an environment for creativity and collaboration, but it also sets a great example of how attitude can change everything. Her #GiveToGain is a vibe of enthusiasm that is inclusive and encouraging to everyone.

Beth gives Truth: It can be a challenge to walk the line between honesty and kindness, especially when women worry so much about appearing weak. But clarity is a form of kindness, and Beth illustrates this beautifully, demonstrating that being truthful doesn't have to be blunt, combative, or cold. Her #GiveToGain is the ability to deliver truth without shutting people down or compromising herself. And that leads to stronger relationships built on respect.

Cindy gives Guidance: Cindy often has a good instinct for the right answer and is smart and confident in sharing her point of view. She is clear in her feedback and logical in her reasoning, which gives women the opportunity to see strength and conviction in practice as a leadership quality. Cindy's #GiveToGain guidance is demonstrated in speaking up for integrity and truth.

Claire gives Knowledge: Claire's brainpower is her superpower, with client and industry insights that strengthen every project. Not only does her intellect challenge us all to be more thoughtful and strategic, but she's an inspiring example of owning and leading with your own personal strengths, a #GiveToGain message that's powerful to women in marketing and everywhere.

Emilyjo gives Vision: Emilyjo effortlessly pulls together scattered thoughts. From experience, she can take a casual conversation and create a meaningful story that makes a real impact. Her #GiveToGain is vision and the ability to connect the dots, building confidence in other women to tell their stories and share their experiences, even when they can't always find the right words.

Halee gives Energy: Halee gives very generously of herself in all aspects of her life. She contributes her time and enthusiasm to her work and to many community organizations. She makes an impact through her devotion to causes she cares about. Her #GiveToGain energy makes her inspiring, and she sets an example of tireless commitment!

Jen gives Balance: Jen uses a thoughtful, collaborative, and creative approach in her work, always bringing others along to teach and inspire. Her #GiveToGain is in the way she balances everyone's input and makes sure everyone in the room is not only heard, but listened to.

Megan gives Momentum: Megan leads with momentum, not just as a saying but as something real. A true marketing maven, she turns vision into action and ideas into results, pushing every one of us farther forward and higher upward than we thought possible. Her brilliance builds brands, but her genuine selflessness builds people—and that’s the kind of #GiveToGain that changes everything.

Melissa gives Imagination: Melissa's imagination gives ideas air and life, making everything more colorful and engaging. Rather than accepting things at face value, she asks "What if?" and, in doing so, helps those around her see even more opportunity to be creative, whether it's a project or a mindset. This #GiveToGain makes things more fun, more memorable, and much more meaningful.

Sara gives Confidence: Sara is a steady force behind many of our team's important initiatives. She is dutiful and careful in her work and never forgets a thing. Sara's #GiveToGain superpower is her grace under pressure and a calming presence, which demonstrates confidence and sets off a ripple effect among those around her. This always-have-your-back quality is a gift to any woman.

Shannon gives Connection: Shannon is the queen of connection. As an Enneagram 2, she is eager to help and guide, which is an important trait for a woman in leadership. Her #GiveToGain power of connection and accessibility shows that Lunne women can be our best selves while leading our own lives, as Shannon herself is guiding two teenage daughters. We are lucky to have her leading and helping us cultivate relationships both internally and with our clients.

Here’s your reminder that leadership is strongest when it’s shared. When we invest in one another’s growth, we don’t just build better leaders, we build a better future together. How will you give to gain this year?
